How many African American students were enrolled in Hunt ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There was one African American student enrolled in Hunt ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Hunt ISD schools welcomed 209 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Hunt ISD roughly covers schools within Kerr County and has a main office in Hunt.

Hunt School was the only school in the district which enrolled African American students, welcoming one student in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
