Uvalde Memorial Hospital is preparing for the future with a new $90 million facility that will drastically increase the number of patients they can treat and the number of medical options they have to offer their community.
The new facility is expected to start taking patients in September 2021, according to Rebusiness Online.
Located 85 miles west of San Antonio, the new hospital will include 32,870 square feet of institutional space, 31,872 square feet of administrative space, and an 11,500 square-foot central utility plant, according to Rebusiness Online.
Within these walls, patients will have access to various departments including urgent care, intensive care, emergency services, radiology, physical and occupational therapy. The intensive care unit will feature a 25-bed medical surgical inpatient unit and 16 outpatient beds.
Hoar Construction of Alabama is serving as general contractor.
