Jeff Kowalski has been named the new athletic director and head football coach at Sabinal Independent School District.

Jeff Kowalski has been named the new athletic director and head football coach at Sabinal Independent School District.
Kowalski, coming from Floresville ISD, was the number one candidate selected from a field of nearly 30 viable applicants. Mr. Alvarado and Coach Navarro assisted in the selection process and the hiring committee unanimously agreed with this decision.
Coach Kowalski is well known for his leadership and the ability to turn athletic programs around. We have no doubt that he will make the Sabinal Yellowjackets a success in the near future.
Superintendent Richard Grill said Kowalski's enthusiasm and commitment to working with students quickly vaulted him to the top position.
Coach Kowalski, along with his wife Jamie and son Grayson, plan to move to the area before the beginning of school. Their daughter, Kenzie, is currently attending college. Until then, Coach Kowalski will continue to be in-district as time allows to meet with the coaches and athletes.
Please give him and his family a loud and proud, "Go Jackets!" and welcome him to the Yellowjacket family!
