A 30-year development that aims to leave Kerrville more advanced and improved by is in motion.
According to Kerrville 2050, the Kerrville City Council adopted the plan in June 2018 and is beginning work roughly a year before the targeted start date.
“We know that we're going to grow, so why not be in the driver’s seat,” Mark McDaniel, Kerrville city manager told KSAT. “We’re also seeing a change in demographics in terms of race and choice of lifestyles, and so I think the community is open to all that.”
The plan aims to improve economics, housing, parks and public services in the city. There are 11 key points that the Planning and Zoning Commission aims to improve with the plain, including downtown, hospitals, the Interstate 10 corridor, a new sports complex, the Guadalupe River, and Kerrville Municipal Airport.
