City of Fredericksburg issued the following announcement.
The City of Fredericksburg is taking the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously and is following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Due to multiple positive cases in City employees and in the community in general, to minimize person-to-person contact, the City of Fredericksburg will temporarily close City Hall, located at 126 W. Main Street, effective Friday, December 11th at 4:30 p.m., to the public until further notice.
It is important to note that essential services will continue to be available. While utility customers will not be able to access City Hall to pay their bill, customers can pay online or utilize the drop box outside City Hall or the drop box in the Broadway Bank drive through location. Customers needing to speak with City departments should contact City Hall at (830)997-7521 to make an appointment or attempt to solve any issues over the phone or by email. The City of Fredericksburg will continue to provide City services including electric, water, wastewater, and sanitation services to the community.
The health, safety, and welfare of our community is our top priority. We encourage everyone to continue to exercise caution and safety throughout these unprecedented times.
