Of the 35,846 people living in Del Rio in 2019, 49 percent (17,566) were women and 51 percent (18,280) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Hill Country Chronicle.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 10,610-to-9,693. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,952 females and 2,398 males.
