RECOGNIZING THE FOUNDING OF VFW POST 12205 IN BULVERDE, TEXAS
______
HON. CHIP ROY

in the house of representatives
Tuesday, June 22, 2021
Mr. ROY. Madam Speaker, today I rise to recognize the founding of VFW Post 12205 in Bulverde, Texas. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Commander McKinnon and those who helped establish Texas's 290th VFW Post. Over the past several years, the number of veterans in the Spring Branch and Bulverde area has grown tremendously and the need for a new VFW has become ever more apparent. As a member of the Veteran Affairs Committee, it is critically important to me that we have organizations like VFWs present locally to serve our veterans and communities, but also to promote patriotism and the American ideals we desperately need more of today. I have no doubt that this VFW Post will be a source of camaraderie, service, and education. I hope my colleagues in the House of Representatives will join me in congratulating these American patriots at VFW Post 12205 on their inaugural meeting and success in their future endeavors.
