There were 1,173 students enrolled in Ingram ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.4% of them were girls, and 48.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 51.8% of the Ingram ISD total enrollment.

Ingram ISD roughly covers schools within Kerr County with its main office in Ingram.

Among the three schools in Ingram ISD, Ingram Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 537 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
