Enrollment Analysis: Asian students comprised 0.6% of Johnson City ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were four Asian students enrolled in Johnson City ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Johnson City ISD schools welcomed 697 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.6% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Johnson City ISD roughly covers schools within Blanco County and has a main office in Johnson City.

Among the three schools in Johnson City ISD schools, Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of two students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
