Census Bureau: 73% of people in Uvalde County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 24,918 citizens living in Uvalde County in 2021, 73% were old enough to vote, equating to 18,193 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 8,741 were male, constituting 48%, and 9,452 were female, making up 52%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Uvalde County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 74.2%.
