San Saba County County Schools: Which ethnicity was most represented in 2021-22 school year?

Of the many ethnicities represented in San Saba County County schools, the most prevalent ethnic group among students enrolled in San Saba County County schools in 2021-22 school year were Hispanic, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of the 1,029 students attending San Saba County County schools, 48.7% were Hispanic. White students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 47.6% of San Saba County County students.

In the previous school year, white students were the most common group in San Saba County County, representing 47.5% of the student body.

Cherokee School had the most diverse student body in San Saba County County, including white, American Indian, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and Multi-racial.

In the 2021-22 school year, the total number of students enrolled in public schools in the county increased 2.1% when compared to the previous year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
