Of the many ethnicities represented in Val Verde County County schools, Hispanic was the most prevalent ethnicity among Val Verde County County students in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of the 10,599 students attending Val Verde County County schools, 92.6% were Hispanic. White students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 6% of Val Verde County County students.

In the previous school year, Hispanic students still were the most common group in Val Verde County County, representing 92.9% of the student body.

Del Rio Middle 7th Grade Campus had the most diverse student body in Val Verde County County, including white, American Indian, Black, Asian, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and Multi-racial.

In the 2021-22 school year, the total number of students enrolled in public schools in the county dropped 0.4% when compared to the previous year.
