Enrollment at Burnet CISD schools increased by 0.8% compared to previous school year

There were 3,304 students enrolled in Burnet CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.8% of them were boys, and 47.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 62.6% of the Burnet CISD total enrollment.

Burnet CISD roughly covers schools within Burnet County with its main office in Burnet.

Among the six schools in Burnet CISD, Burnet High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,003 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
