Doss Consolidated CSD welcomed 22 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 22 students enrolled in Doss Consolidated CSD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 68.2% of them were girls, and 31.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 54.5% of the Doss Consolidated CSD total enrollment.

Doss Consolidated CSD roughly covers schools within Gillespie County with its main office in Doss.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
