On Wednesday, during an appearance on Fox Business' Varney & Co., Representative Chip Roy (TX-21) discussed the need for House Republicans to prompt Senate action on noncitizen voting and his efforts to obtain answers about an illegal migrant charged with shooting at three San Antonio Police officers.

Some key quotes from Representative Roy are below:

"Democrats are using these [illegal aliens] as their political pawns. We should oppose that!... [Republicans] should ensure that we make sure that only American citizens vote in American elections."

"[The Biden/Harris administration] is totally fine giving driver's licenses to people here who are here illegally, which will allow many people to be able to be on the [voting] rolls."

“Just this year we had an illegal immigrant who was [in San Antonio], who unfortunately shot three San Antonio police officers. This was a direct consequence of them having been released into the United States."

“I sent a letter to the San Antonio Police Department, demanding information about how much they've had to devote resources from the people of San Antonio to deal with the massive number of migrants."

"So, we're demanding information from SAPD because the migrant resource center there is being abused to funnel people through the city, send them to the airports, fly them around the country, and Americans are the ones left holding the bag."
