Roy highlighted the growing concern of anti-Semitism globally, referencing the International Criminal Court's recent arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu as an example. He criticized the resolution as ineffective and raised concerns about its implications on First Amendment rights.
He emphasized that Congress should focus on tangible actions to support Israel and combat anti-Semitism. Roy proposed halting taxpayer funding to organizations like the United Nations, which he described as perpetuating harmful ideologies. He also urged the Senate to consider his bill aimed at sanctioning the International Criminal Court (H.R. 8282).
"Anti-Semitism is evil," Roy asserted, condemning it as a driving force behind historical atrocities and affirming its incompatibility with a civilized society. He concluded by dismissing symbolic resolutions as insufficient measures against such issues.
