On Wednesday, Congressman Chip Roy from Texas's 21st district instructed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Biden administration to preserve all information related to the border crisis and illegal aliens released into American communities.

Representative Roy expressed his concerns in a letter stating, "Since February 2021, Members of Congress, including myself, have sent you countless requests for information about DHS’s policies and actions related to border security, immigration, and national security, only to receive – at best – delayed and insufficient responses or – at worst – no response from your office at all."

Under the current administration, there have been record-breaking illegal alien encounters at U.S. borders. This situation has led to millions of aliens being released into the interior of the country. According to Roy, this influx includes criminals and other bad actors who endanger both Americans and aliens.

"It is imperative DHS preserve any and all information related to the border crisis and mass influx of aliens into the interior so the incoming Trump administration can deliver on its mandate to undo the damage done," said Representative Roy. He emphasized that this request aims to withstand any administrative transition and prevent future directives that might destroy evidence related to DHS policies since January 20, 2021.

The full letter is available for public reading.
