Rep. Chip Roy from Texas's 21st District expressed his approval of President Trump's recent executive orders on border security and immigration. He stated, "Today marks a new day at our southern border, and a new day for America's sovereignty." According to Rep. Roy, these measures are crucial for regaining control over the nation's borders.

The executive orders include ending the CBP One app, classifying cartels as terrorist organizations—a move Rep. Roy advocated for in 2019—reinstating Title 42 and the Remain in Mexico policies, and addressing birthright citizenship. Rep. Roy emphasized that these actions signal a return to prioritizing the rule of law and putting American citizens first.

Rep. Roy urged Congress to support these initiatives, especially with a Republican majority in both houses and the presidency. He called for swift action to provide necessary resources and implement long-term policy changes to secure the border permanently.

"The time for excuses is over; the time for action is now," he concluded.
