Rep. Chip Roy of Texas has expressed his approval following the confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the Secretary of Health and Human Services. In a statement, Rep. Roy highlighted the significance of this appointment for healthcare reform in the United States.
“I am thrilled that the Senate officially confirmed my friend Robert F. Kennedy Jr. today as Secretary of Health and Human Services," said Congressman Roy.
He emphasized a shift in public perception regarding healthcare, noting that "there is a healthcare revolution going on in this country." According to Rep. Roy, Americans are increasingly aware of issues such as cronyism and overregulation within the healthcare system and are seeking more autonomy from government control.
Rep. Roy referenced his recent report titled 'The Case for Healthcare Freedom,' which outlines strategies for reducing costs and enhancing patient empowerment in healthcare decisions. He believes that Kennedy shares these principles: "I know RFK is committed to the core principles laid out in that document."
Looking ahead, Rep. Roy expressed optimism about collaborating with Secretary Kennedy and other lawmakers to advance what he describes as "healthcare freedom" with the goal to "Make America Healthy Again."
