Real County Education: 602 students enrolled in 2023-24 school year

There were 602 students enrolled in Real County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 5.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

At the time, Real County had the 33rd lowest enrollment in the state.

Data also showed that white students made up 57.1% of the student body, the largest percentage in Real County schools, followed by Hispanic students at 39.5%, Black students at 0.5% and multiracial students at 2.8%.

A recent study by WalletHub classified Texas as one of the least-educated states in the U.S., ranking it 41st out of 50 in educational quality and student outcomes.
