At 1 p.m. Sunday, March 15, Texas State Bobcats, featuring former Del Rio High School standout Wade Cooper, suffered a 16-5 defeat in their NCAA Division I baseball contest against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

Lou St. Amant Field served as the venue for their third meeting this season. The Bobcats previously lost to the Warhawks 8-5 on Saturday, March 14.

Cooper pitched 3.2 innings, yielding two earned runs, issuing one walk, and striking out five batters.

The Bobcats are set to play next Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. against the Texas A&M Aggies at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
