Wes Virdell, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 53rd House district, posted several comments on his X (formerly Twitter) account addressing topics ranging from political support to observations about famous quotes.
On August 19, 2025, Virdell expressed endorsement for another official by posting: “I fully support this and @SecretaryTurner https://t.co/rMuyVzvktg”.
The following day, on August 20, he commented on a post with: “Accurate https://t.co/tQwhv7GIvp”.
Later that same day, Virdell shared his thoughts on the Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu: “I occasionally quote Sun Tzu, but I do think Sun Tzu took the spaghetti on the wall approach… Make so many quotes that are all over the place that surely one of them will stick no matter what the situation.”
Virdell assumed office after winning election in 2025 and replaced Andrew Murr as state representative for Texas’s 53rd district. His social media activity provides insight into his views and engagement with constituents and public figures.
