Kinney County schools enroll 21 gifted and talented students in the 2021-2022 school year

Test 02

Kinney County schools enrolled 21 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2021-2022 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 19.2% decrease from the previous school year.

Of the 532 students enrolled in Kinney County schools, 3.9% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Kinney County enrolled the 25th lowest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
