There were 535 students enrolled in Center Point ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.7% of them were boys, and 47.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 59.3% of the Center Point ISD total enrollment.

Center Point ISD roughly covers schools within Kerr County with its main office in Center Point.

Among the three schools in Center Point ISD, Center Point Elementary recorded the highest enrollment of 258 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
