Johnson City ISD schools Education: 216 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 216 Hispanic students enrolled in Johnson City ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 9.6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Johnson City ISD schools welcomed 722 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 29.9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Johnson City ISD roughly covers schools within Blanco County and has a main office in Johnson City.

Among the three schools in Johnson City ISD schools, Lyndon B. Johnson Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 97 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
