Rocksprings ISD schools Education: 192 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 192 Hispanic students enrolled in Rocksprings ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Rocksprings ISD schools welcomed 237 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 81% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Rocksprings ISD roughly covers schools within Edwards County and has a main office in Rocksprings.

Rocksprings K-12 was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 192 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
