Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 54.5% of Doss Consolidated CSD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 12 white students enrolled in Doss Consolidated CSD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 20% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Doss Consolidated CSD schools welcomed 22 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 54.5% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Doss Consolidated CSD roughly covers schools within Gillespie County and has a main office in Doss.

Doss Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 12 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
