There were 26 white students enrolled in Divide ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 13% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Divide ISD schools welcomed 37 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 70.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Divide ISD roughly covers schools within Kerr County and has a main office in Mountain Home.

Divide Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 26 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
