There were 262 white students enrolled in San Saba ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that San Saba ISD schools welcomed 684 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 38.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

San Saba ISD roughly covers schools within San Saba County and has a main office in San Saba.

Among the three schools in San Saba ISD schools, San Saba Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 111 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
