There were 117 white students enrolled in Richland Springs ISD schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 117 white students enrolled in Richland Springs ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 17% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Richland Springs ISD schools welcomed 139 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 84.2% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Richland Springs ISD roughly covers schools within San Saba County and has a main office in Richland Springs.

Richland Springs School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 117 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
