Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 14.4% of Richland Springs ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 20 Hispanic students enrolled in Richland Springs ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Richland Springs ISD schools welcomed 139 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 14.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Richland Springs ISD roughly covers schools within San Saba County and has a main office in Richland Springs.

Richland Springs School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 20 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
