- A Video Message of Gratitude / Un mensaje de gratitud en video
It is humbling to see the good that is happening around AISD during this time.
We are now entering our sixth week since our campuses closed, and the shift to Continuous Learning has been anything but business as usual. What is not unusual is the fact that our students depend on us to bring normalcy, balance and often basic needs to their lives. While we cannot offer the comfort of warm hugs or a classroom of peers, we can still do our best to guide our students through their complex emotions. As we move forward with Continuous Learning, know that you’re doing essential work, in a variety of ways, even if it's outside the community of our schools.
We also all know it’s not just students who are feeling the stress and uncertainty that a pandemic brings to our world. We are experiencing a fundamental shift in our day-to-day life and it is going to take our whole community to get through this. We will get through together.
It’s in this spirit of gratitude that Austin ISD has created this video that highlights your good work. It will play on social media, the AISD website, and AISD TV over the coming days. We encourage you to share it with friends and family as well. https://youtu.be/P0oT2XGYHpo
Thank you for everything you do. Until we can be together again: look for the positives each day, take care of yourself and your family and look forward to the day we welcome our students back into our classrooms. We are stronger together. #WeAreAISD
