The Kerrville Friends of Library association recently made a $25,000 donation to the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library.
According to the City of Kerrville, the donation will support the library’s large print collection and the Summer Reading Program and performers.
Friends of the Library supports the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library's goals to promote closer relationships between the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library and local residents; promote the library’s various functions, resources, services, and needs; encourage donations and contributions to the library, especially collections of literary, historical, or documents relative to Kerrville and Kerr County; and advocate for the expansion of the library’s services and resources and provides monetary funds directly to the library in order that the library may more fully accomplish its mission of service.
Friends of the Library raises money for the Summer Reading Program, the Large Print Collection, and the Audiobook Collection each year. Funds are raised through book sales, donations, and membership dues.
