CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG: 2020 Annual Paving Program Underway Beginning August 27th...

Office

City of Fredericksburg issued the following announcement.

The 2020 Annual City Paving Project is tentatively set to begin on Thursday, August 27, 2020 (weather permitting).

The list of streets to be paved can be changed at the discretion of the City.  Streets may be added to or deleted from this list.  If a street is to be added, the City will notify property owners along the street as soon as possible.

City crews will be going door to door, leaving notification at residences and businesses along the streets to be paved. Upon notification by the City, it is requested that no vehicles, boats, trailers, etc., be left unattended on the street until after the street is paved. If vehicles, boats, trailers, etc., are in the street at the time the street is to be paved and the owner cannot be located, the vehicle will be towed to a location clear of the project AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE.

Property owners are asked to refrain from watering lawns on the day the street adjacent to their property is to be paved to avoid directing water into the street. In the event of rain, the project will be postponed until rain chances have subsided.

Property owners are also asked to refrain from mowing, trimming, or weed-eating the grass adjacent to the street to be paved to avoid the unintentional placement of grass clippings onto the street.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this project. Your cooperation will help expedite this project and is greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City of Fredericksburg at (830)997-7521.
