The City of Del Rio will provide a second round of the HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program.

"Thank you for your interest in The HartBeat of Main Street Grant Program, created by The Hartford Small Business Insurance and Main Street America," the city of Del Rio said in a press release. "We believe that small business owners are critical to the vibrancy of our local communities. Throughout the United States many have seen their businesses impacted tremendously as a result of COVID-19. We are dedicated to standing behind small businesses and hope this program will help alleviate some of the financial burden they are currently experiencing."

The grant program was designed to help businesses as they manage their way through the phases of recovery. Applicants can apply for grants between $5,000 and $15,000.

Applications will be judged based on the feasibility of the proposal; how the grant will help the business with COVID-19 challenges; opportunity for learning; how the program will improve the viability of the business; and the business' commitment to giving back to the community.

The deadline for applications is Oct. 29 at 4:59 p.m.
